The Chamber has established a small working group to identify how a such a workplace equality project might be developed over the next year and has already identified a wide range of actions that have the potential to promote employment equality and proactively serve to be of benefit to the business in the area. As a result, the Equality Authority has submitted “Athlone – Promoting Work-place Equality” as part of a series of initiatives to celebrate the “European Year of Equal Opportunities for All” in 2007.
